children’s ministry
Kids are a very important part of our church family and are included in all facets of our church life. During the message portion of worship children ages 5-11 are invited to go to Kid’s Time for Bible focused lessons, art projects, and other fun ways of learning just for them. This is a small group, perfect for kids who get overwhelmed or feel lost in big groups. Siblings stay together in the class and our teachers work in pairs to ensure each child feels cared about. The Kid’s Ministry room is adjacent to the Sanctuary, with a big window that looks out over the worship area, so parents can keep an eye on their kids if they wish. Children are also always welcome to stay in worship.

Russ Tenpas
My name is Russ Tenpas and I taught in elementary school for 27 years in Southern California, and now I enjoy training my dog, Angel, hiking, and teaching Sunday school.

Valerie Lerch
My name is Valerie Lerch and I have taught 4th grade in elementary school and 4th grade Sunday School. I also have a Masters Degree in Studio Art which enables me to create fun activities for children as they learn about God.

Audrey Norberg
My name is Audrey Norberg, I taught K and 1st grade for 8 years in Minnesota, did licensed home daycare for 12 years, and now am a church elder, and work in Kids' Ministry.

Claudia Cooley
My name is Claudia Cooley and I taught fifth grade for 11 years. I enjoy my two dogs, Bucky and Willy, swimming, reading, needlework, dancing, and teaching Sunday school.
